It looks like there was a mix up with multiple retailers as prices for AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 9000 processors were leaked ahead of launch. Both Newegg and Best Buy had a full product pages up with prices for the entire Ryzen 9000 series. This mistake was likely because the Ryzen 9000 series was supposed to launch today, but was pushed back till August 8th and 14th (depending on SKU). Now these prices still could change, but it is very likely these will be the official retail prices on launch day.
Luckily @momomo_us was able to get screenshots of the product pages and prices before they were taken down. The prices are as follows:
– Ryzen 9 9950X: $599.00
– Ryzen 9 9900X: $449.00
– Ryzen 7 9700X: $359.00
– Ryzen 5 9600X: $279.00
– Ryzen 9 5900XT: $349.00
– Ryzen 7 5800XT: $249.00
Looking at these prices we can see that AMD has lowered the pricing across the board compared to the launch of the Ryzen 7000 series. The Ryzen 9 9950X and Ryzen 9 9900X are $100 cheaper than their Ryzen 7000 series counterparts were at launch. The Ryzen 7 9700X is $40 cheaper and the Ryzen 5 9600X is $20 cheaper. We definitely like to see the price drop and this will make their X3D parts (which will come later) even more competitive.
